Bait best when ordered in good shipping weather November, December. Bait may take 8 - 10 days to arrive, but will be shipped 2nd day to assure good bait health. Bait is good in storage for up to 3 months when properly cared for. When bait arrives, open packaging and allow bait to breath for 2 minutes in cool air (not cold, freezing. NOT IN HOT AIR AND NOT IN SUNLIGHT!).

The absolute best container I have used for keeping the bait live and fresh in refrigeration is a kitty litter bin. The bait comes shipped in pine shavings to keep them dry. That is the key. Once these get moist, they turn into wall climbers! If you need to keep them a long time, you will need to change the stuff they are kept in. You can use corn meal, oatmeal or other UNTREATED saw dust.

NOTE: if you decide toput these in your familiy fridge use a deep open container, these things can find a way to wriggle out of shorter containers. If the lid is not a good fit, they will crawl out of the container in the fridge after moisture gets in and they will be all over your fridge!
